Helping Inmate Fathers and Their Kids Break the Cycle of Crime Through Knowing, Loving and Serving Christ
Incarceration is a generational dilemma not easily broken. Children of inmates are seven times more likely than their peers to end up in prison. Awana, Louisiana State Penitentiary and other U.S. prisons are partnering to break the cycle of crime. The life-changing work of Christ is what’s needed to end this debilitating pattern. Awana Lifeline brings that hope to inmates and their families.
Returning Hearts Celebration: a Day for Families, a Memory for All Time Returning Hearts Celebration is a day of games, activities and a salvation message reuniting incarcerated dads and their children on the prison grounds. It’s a time when fathers who may not have seen their kids in years can share the gospel, ask for forgiveness and begin reconciliation with their daughters and sons.
